What I love about photography these days, is that everyone gets a chance to experience it!  With every new iPhone or Android device, each has a better and better camera! What used to be point and shoot cameras, are now our cell phones.  We never miss a moment to capture, as we have our phones will us 24/7.

As much as I love cell phone pics because they are quick and easy. I often miss the creativity that my large DSLR Nikon camera has.  But I have found some amazing apps for my phone that helps edit and do some fun effects to my photos.

Here are my top 5 favorite photo apps and some samples:)

Snapseed

I use Snapseed for my main edits or retouches that I have to do to any photos.  Photo too dark, I can lighten it up very easily with this app.  I can also increase detail so a photo has more sharp focus to it.  I can also add some fun textures and frames around the photos!  Here are a few images I edited in Snapseed!  I have had Snapseed for a long time now, so I'm not really sure how much it is to purchase.  But it is definitely worth it.  Great all around editing app!

WaterLogue

This app I fell in love with as soon as I downloaded it.  What this app does is allows you to turn your photos into watercolor paintings.  I have done this a few times with different photos and love the result.  However I did notice that not all photos look good being changed in the app, some of the detail goes missing making the image look weird(in my opinion)  Either way, I love this app and the fun things I can do to my photos with it!

Fragment

This app allows you to do some crazy things to your photos.  I am not even really sure how I can explain it, but it almost makes it look like your photo has been broken and you have multiple pieces laying around in different directions.  Maybe that is why they called it Fragment.  I encourage you play around with multiple images to see what you get:)

Photostudio

This app is so great for adding fun photo filter effects. It includes stickers, borders, fonts, textures and frame effects.  The one I like the best is the distortion option.  You can flip, turn and mirror images and create something that is more like a piece of art than a photo.  I love it for some fun inspiration and a to create something different!

Layout

This is not really a photo editor app, but it turns your photos into instant collages.  For awhile I was using a free app that would collage the pics.  Layout makes it so much easier, that all you need to do is select what photos you'd like placed in a collage and they will give you different layouts.  You can quickly change the size and order of the photos as well!  The only down side is that this was created to be a quick layout system to post to Instagram, so the photos are all collaged in a square format!  Either way, I love the ease this app has to make collages quickly to share.

I hope you get a chance to try out all of my favorite apps. I am all for having fun and expressing yourself creatively with photography!  Leave me a comment with your favorite app so I can check it out or show me some of your photos on my Facebook page.
