May 12, 2012 marked this years Paws in the Park which is the biggest fundraiser for Cascades Humane Society here in Jackson, Michigan.  I work very closly with CHS to supply their adoptable pets with beautiful photos to attract their new owners!  Each pet they have deserves the best and a loving home to get adopted into.  Paws in the Park helps raise funds so that these pets continue to get the wonderful care that the CHS staff provides. This year was my second year I was at PIP(Paws in the Park supply free photos of the dogs.  It is amazing the amount of support our community gives CHS and how many other crazy pet owners view their dogs at their "children" ...
MTPPA Shoot Out!!

As a member of Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers of America, once a month we meet and have wonderful speakers to revive and rejuvenate our rusty photographic souls.  This month was our annual board meeting.  I can say I was happily elected to join MTPPA's wonderful board members for the next 3 years!  I look forward to our meeting each month because I learn something new each time I go.  It gives me a chance to chat with other professionals in the same field, who are experiencing the same hardships I am.  Some months I get in such a funk I am surprised I can get pulled out of it.  But without fail, every time I go to our meeting, I come back home ...
Sweet Baby Collection 5 month Sessions

Part of my job is capturing moments and freezing them in time for my clients. My favorite part is when I get a newborn that enrolls in my sweet baby collection.  My babies that pick this session get 4 different sessions throughout the child's first year; Newborn, 4-5 months, 7-8 months, and 1 year. Each session is tailored to capture key milestones in that child's life.  The newborn session captures the sweet innocence of the child and the deep loving connection with the parents and their new child. The 4-5 month session showcases when the child is strong and holds his/her head up on their own while on their tummy.  This usuall is the start of their budding personalities. ...
Change in Life, Change in Perspective

I am 28.  But sometimes I swear I am still 18.  I will sit and think, "Is this really my life?"  "Am I really a grown up now?"  In the last 10 years, the decisions I made and paths I chose, put me right where I am now.  And I couldn't be happier.  It was in a blink of an eye that I grew up; or so it feels.  In a way it may be a good thing that I feel so young.  I don't think I have lost my "youthful" spirit and still see some things in a childlike manor.  Being able to keep this trait, and access it during certain situations may be very valuable in the future.
