As May is going by faster each day, I wanted to highlight many of the amazing high school seniors I photographed last year!  They each were asked a few simple questions and I am loving their responses! First up is Anna Wetzel.  I had such a great time at our session. We spent the day getting her pampered with hair and makeup, and then wandered around the back country on our way to Albion, MI where we did our final images!  I just loved her session and her bubbly personality made it a great day!

Name: Anna Wetzel

High School: Hillsdale Academy

Year: Class of 2017

What is was your favorite activity in high school?:The athletics!! I played boys varsity soccer, basketball, and ran track! My time spent playing sports taught me how hard I could push myself, and helped me make lifelong friends and memories! I also loved the nights that my group of friends and I would spend around a bonfire at the lake listening to country music and just laughing and having a good time

What was the best part of your senior year?: My senior trip to Greece and Italy was my favorite part of senior year! By spending two weeks constantly surrounded by my classmates and friends I learned so many new and awesome things about them, and grew a lot closer to them as we made memories and laughed constantly together! My favorite part of the trip was watching the handstand competition some of the guys in my class had in the Colosseum! It was hilarious to see other tourists reactions to our stupidity

What will you miss most about High School?:

I'm gonna miss soccer and basketball the most!! I'll miss the pre-game locker room jams and the hilarious things my teammates would say during soccer warmups! I'll miss the victories and losses that brought me so close to my teammates, and I'll miss the bus jams and conversations! I'll miss all the fun I had on these teams with these amazing guys and girls!

What advice or thoughts would you give to the upcoming high school seniors?:

I'd say GET INVOLVED! Wether it be sports or chess club get involved in something! And don't take it so seriously, Just have fun! Enjoy every moment because as corny as it sounds it goes so fast and the day you have to say goodbye will be here before you know it!  So basically just get involved, have fun, and just enjoy every moment! High school is a blast if you make it one!

Where are you headed after graduation?:

I'm heading to Central Michigan University this fall

What do you plan to study?:

I plan to study special education for students with cognitive impairments at the secondary level. Which is basically a fancy way of saying I'm going to work with/teach special needs teens and young adults between the ages of 13 and 26.

What are you most looking forward to after high school?:

I'm really looking forward to going to a large school with so much going on! Though I loved high school, and I love my classmates, I was only in a class with 21 other people. So I'm really looking forward to meeting new people! I'm also really really excited to start on my major because I've had a passion for the special needs community and being one to help it since forever!
