Fine Art Session Feature

A fine art session is meant to bring out all of the amazing aspects of who you are.  My most recent session was with Maggie, a beautifully strong and fluid dancer.  Each time I photograph a dancer I see something different.  

They all have their own unique differences and it is so fun bringing that out.  I can see Maggie's strong, passionate soul in her movements and dance.  And not just because she has stunning red hair.

For her session, we started with a traditional point and pancake tutu.  For those who don't know what that is, it's the tutu that is flat out like a pancake:).  After we worked with some contemporary that allows dancers to be more free flowing and free in their moves.  Maggie has such beautiful form and movements.  

During a Fine Art session, my clients get a free couture dress rental as well.  It reminds me of taking Vogue, the Oscars and Met gala fashion and brining it to life for my clients.  Putting on such an amazing dress truly is transformative.  It's hard to put into terms, but something that you just have to experience.  

With the beautiful Poppy dress and her stunning locks, I knew a open green field would be perfect.  I was even able to capture some drone footage and she truly looks like a princess in those.  

We also used a Purple Robe Dress from my Client Studio Closet that all my Fine Art Clients get to use. 

Then we come to my favorite part of a Fine Art Session. The creative mess, I like to call it.  As much as photoshop is amazing and I can tweak and fine tune my images, there is NOTHING like capturing something truly epic in camera!  This is what we did.

I went and grabbed 15 lbs of flour for these photos and mom got to help out too.  Tossing, throwing, and dancing away in the powder gives feels this unbridled movement; as if she was breaking free from anything that was holding her down.  Letting go of negativity and feelings that no longer serve.  She is emerging like a Phoenix into her one true soul.

I just am in love with these images and I'm so excited to share them all.  These images are beautifully paired with my Fine Art Folio products and look stunning.  Nothing compares from taking these images and making them real and tangible.
