So Each year I help host the Cascades Humane Society Pet Contest to help raise funds for them.  It's a full 3 day weekend of 15 min appointment(usually totals around 100 or so actual sessions), and then we have an online voting process after.  It's $1.00 per vote(with all monies going directly to CHS), and the top 12 animals make the next years calendar.  Our contest is currently still running until March 19th at noon so you have time to go find your favorite pet and VOTE!! Every dollar counts.  We are just shy of $10,000 raised so far.  My goal this year was $20,000...will you help us meet that in two days!?!?!?! WE CAN DO IT

I wanted this post to show you the fun times we have during the contest.  Every year I capture some really great "blooper outtakes" while trying to catch the perfect pose of each pet.  Here are just some of my favorites.  Also at the bottom is a video where you can see some of my favorite pics and a little behind the scenes from this year!  Enjoy:)

THAT TONGUE!  Many times we get some crazy tongue shots from the pets while trying to capture the perfect expression!

And I love catching a blink of the pets! 

Then some others decide they want to strick a pose themselves!  

And sometimes they just want to do anything except get a photo taken!

And of course, not all bloopers are because of the pets.. I apparently was a little "off" on taking a straight photo!  

I have such a wonderful time photographing pets and their quirky personalities.   We do end up getting a great photo of each pet, so here is a video of some behind the scenes and to check out some of my favorites!
