Many times you’ll see portraits being captured in the late evening and at sunset.  As much as I love photographing at that time, this past senior season here in Michigan made me fall in love with mornings.  I captured many sessions starting at 8am and the results are breathtaking!   

Daria Bloomfields session was no exception to this beautiful lighting.  We started her session with hair and makeup at 8am.  Daria’s very laid back and relaxing personality made her session just a dream.  

Starting out at my studio, we worked our way to Albion Michigan and got to really show off Daria’s fun side. I have two favorite parts of Daria’s session. The first one happened when we stopped off at a random road side area that had a gate and road. We wandered around there for a bit, and created some magic. This very reason is why I started wearing high rain boots or tennis shoes to my sessions!

Daria’s casual style helped her move and feel comfortable throughout her session, so we captured some magical moments of her just being herself.

My second favorite time was in the downtown area. We grabbed a pair of sunglasses that I have as props in the studio and pearls, and Daria showed off her fun and outgoing personality. Those images are some of my favorite captured from her session. 

Daria also just picked up all of her prints and products. From her graduation invitations to her custom senior book..I loved them all!  It is the best feeling having someone hold onto a tangible product of their favorite images.

She is passionate about makeup(she does a perfect winged eyeliner!) and music. One day you will see her as a music producer or helping create music and albums. When she isn’t doing fab makeup or listening to her theme song, Sedona by Houndmouth, you can find her road tripping or just relaxing with friends. Daria has the beautiful ability to communicate well with others and it shows in her personality, schooling and with all her friends.

Daria had some kind words to say about her Freeland Photography Senior Portrait Experience. “I loved that I felt beautiful. I felt comfortable despite the many clothing changes. I also felt like I could be myself completely, and that I could trust Carrie to capture my true self. “ 

I have had the privilege to work with her for the past year as a Dream Team member. I love her energy and willingness to help at all of our events. She even helped apply the faux lashes to the girls for our last Event shoot this past fall! 

Thank you so much Daria for blessing my life this past year.  I know you are meant for big things in the world and can’t wait to see what you do.
