Today is the day!!! I will be heading over to Royal Oak to see Roman at Alex/Emilio's Salon and I just know he will do something fabulous with me.  Yesterday when I took my photos I did a few different hairstyles and decided to have fun with it. High Pony, Pigtails, and gotta get some jazzersize in! Then the last set, I curled my hair like I usually do when I'm getting dressed up.  I wanted to do some of those "looking down on you" photos that I do with my seniors.  I can honestly say that I have never done those before, so I figured I would do them before I won't be able to with long hair.

Once I was done with my photos and started editing through them, I became a bit teary eyed.  Not because I am cutting my hair off and I will miss it.  But because I am cutting my hair off and I am helping someone feel beautiful again.  It's just hair to me, it grows back..and usually really fast. But to someone, this is a second chance. To someone who has lost their hair to treatment or illness, this is their chance to feel confident and beautiful again.  I am so happy that I was blessed with all this hair so that I could do this.  I think I may make it a habit and try to do it every couple of years when my hair gets long enough!

I had such a fun time doing some of these photos, who knows..maybe I will continue some self-portraits once a month!  Also, I hope those of you who followed my blog while I did this, will look come back and check it out some more in 2013!  :) AND of course, Yes, I will be doing an "after" session too! So hope you check that out!

Enjoy the last photos-and I will be instagraming and tweet'n today, so follow me on twitter @freelandphotos, and instagram @freelandphotos

Thanks for playing along:)
